Robert Hoppenreijs
Motto: ‘Live life with passion and pleasure’
Robert Hoppenreijs (1973) studied tax at Tilburg University. From 1995 to 2001 he worked as a tax advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He was also a member of the editorial team of Vakstudie Nieuws, a weekly commentary on recent tax case law and legislation, and remained affiliated with Tilburg University as a tax lecturer. He joined Pereira as a partner and relationships manager when it was founded in 2002. He contributes to tax and estate planning journals and is often invited to teach or be a guest speaker. He lives in Breda with Manon and their two children, Marnix and Elsa.
Robert enjoys finding innovative ideas and solutions with the team and clients. He likes the challenge of a complex issue. He enjoys learning from clients who offer feedback on the services of Pereira.
For Robert, a special feature of company transfers and estate planning projects is that they are not just fiscal and legal challenges. Emotion has a much greater role in these projects and so he feels happier as an adviser who can weigh up and analyse the different interests. His great quality is offering guidance, which he achieves by gaining trust and presenting sound arguments. Robert also adds value by daring to keep questioning. If he is sure that there is something else to discover, he has the courage to raise the matter with the client; because he can only give the best tax advice if he starts with the right information.
Robert likes tennis and skiing. He enjoys life: a good meal and the occasional glass of good wine.
The best book that Robert has read is Covey’s “The Speed of Trust”. It taught him a completely different way of thinking. Be confident, and everything else will look after itself!

Lenny Mesir
Since October 2010, Lenny Mesir (1976) works as personal secretary to Robert Hoppenreijs.
When she was 16, Lenny left for one year to the U.S. as a senior exchange student at a high school in Michigan. When she came back, she started her education as English teacher, mostly to find out that she was not meant to be a teacher. In 1998 she joined the ABN AMRO bank as a financial advisor.
Via the Randstad Secretary Academy Lenny started her training and career as an all-round secretary in 2001. Lenny has worked mostly as an interim executive secretary for large companies like ING Real Estate, KPN, DSM, BHP Billiton, Atos Origin, SES World Skies and Politie Rotterdam Rijnmond. Lenny started working for Ernst & Young, Expatriate Services in The Hague as Global Account Coordinator; here she was responsible for entire tax administration for the expatriates of one Global Client.
After a long period as interim secretary, Lenny has consciously chosen to work one on one for one of the partners of Pereira, for who she can use her drive to manage everything behind the scenes to perfection (and her desire for chaos) to her hearts content.
In her spare time Lenny enjoys spending time at home, where she can relax. She loves watching movies, reading, walking in the dunes, spending time with family and friends and philosophise late into the night. Lenny also has developed a deep passion and interest for pedicure and reflexology and has used her strong entrepreneurial spirit to get educated and start up a part time business at home. She is not actively working as a reflexologist but it is an experience she likes to take with her on her journey as an entrepreneur.
Her biggest passion is singing. Lenny is performing in musicals, bands and other music projects since she was 12. Currently Lenny is writing songs together with a co-singer/songwriter.
